Newcastle Christmas Luncheon

Newcastle Christmas Luncheon 20 November 25

Lunch Report from Ken Dighton: "Well Thursday 20th was a humid day in Newcastle but decent weather, nonetheless. We had a very good gathering of 34 members and Partners, with apologies from Keith Crawford, Paul Jacka, Bob and Nell Grant, Lindy Dighton (tending the new Dachshund pup!), and Noel and Betty Cook. Sadly, Noel Cook was recently admitted to palliative care, and we extend to them both special good wishes (they have been strong supporters of the Newcastle lunches). Our number included 17 from out of the local area and this was gratifying - thanks to all those who made the effort to visit us. The Cardiff RSL buffet was up to the usual excellent standard (including the desserts), and I think it was well received across the board. The Newcastle ROC Chapter has almost exhausted its old funds but there was still enough left to include a couple of free drinks for the occasion. And as usual, Cheryl Richardson organised the very popular lucky-seat prizes. Best wishes to our fellow members and their families for the 2025 Festive Season."
